1. No Purchase Necessary.
This is a contest of skill. To enter, send a non-returnable photo, a brief description of the photo, and your name, age, street address and phone number by September 15, 2001, to:

Entry constitutes acceptance of all rules. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, postage-due or illegible entries or notifications. Enter as often as you like, but each entry must be sent separately.

2. Eligibility.
Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents age 21 and older at time of entry. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Contest judges and their household members and immediate family members are not eligible.

3. Winning entries (two ways to win).
A. The Grand Prize-winning photo will be selected on or about September 30, 2001, by a panel of judges from OPTIMAŽ Batteries, Inc. Judges will use the following criteria: appeal and attraction of submitted photo in relation to promotional goals of OPTIMA Batteries; suitability of location and vehicle depicted for promotional purposes; suitability of entrant for promotional purposes. Judge's decision is final.
B. Biweekly Winners will be selected every two weeks during the 12-week contest, based on votes cast by visitors to the website. (OPTIMAbatteries.com) Only one biweekly prize per entrant.

4. Prizes
A. Grand Prize. The winner and winner's vehicle will be featured in an OPTIMA Batteries magazine advertisement in January 2002, to be photographed at a time and place selected by Sponsor. Sponsor will pay transportation and lodging costs as it may deem necessary, but no other compensation will be provided. Inability to comply with any of these conditions may result in alternate prizewinner being chosen. No substitutions, no transfers. Sponsor reserves the right to award no prize if, in the opinion of the judges, none of the submitted entries adequately satisfies the stated criteria.
B. Biweekly Prizes. Each biweekly winner will receive OPTIMA merchandise such as clothing or a battery, estimated retail value $100 to $150 each.

5. Notification, verification, releases.
Winner will be notified by mail or express delivery at the address listed on the entry. To obtain prize, winner must within 10 days of attempted notification provide a standard model's release related to the location photography and execute a mutually agreeable release of liability related to travel to and activities at location, or alternate winner may be selected. Except where prohibited, acceptance of prize constitutes consent by winner to the use of name, likeness and biographical data for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation.

6. Additional rules.
All photos become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Entry constitutes agreement that Sponsor may display entered photo on its web site or otherwise, along with entrant's identifying information, as part of promotional activities related to this contest. All taxes imposed on prize are winner's sole responsibility. OPTIMA Batteries, Inc., shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising directly or indirectly in connection with this contest or prize. OPTIMA Batteries, Inc.'s, decision on all contested matters is final. For winner's names, send self-addressed stamped envelope after September 30, 2001, to OPTIMA Batteries, Inc., 17500 East 22nd Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011. OPTIMA Batteries, Inc., will not be responsible for printing, typographical, mechanical or other errors, including such errors as may lead to erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize. All taxes imposed on prize are winner's sole responsibility.
